Photography by Dan Landis
Transcendentalists such as Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson believed that one can rise above, or "transcend" the physical plane. They believed that nature is the primary vehicle to attain this spiritual transcendence. My photography, both in the process of creation and in the final result, is an attempt to reach that spiritual place.

Wonderful album Dan. I know you got so much more to show, but really enjoyed viewing all the ones you have here. You are a great talent, do not ever forget that, and humble too!
I had no idea of this incredible talent of yours. Loved the transcendentalist reference and that has been my philosophy for years; thus, when I go to Boulder I always go to "church" at Boulder Falls...another cool place for you and Vicki to travel. Amazing, Dan!
These are awesome inspiring photos, Dan.
Love the transcendentalist reference.
